Student Presentation Submissions

The Symposium organizers are inviting two student presentations from each member school for inclusion in the 2026 program (please make sure to submit exactly two for scheduling purposes). Given there is no formal review process, each faculty advisor should review and approve submissions for their school.

Abstract submissions should be no longer than one page double-spaced (maximum word count of 300 words) and should summarize the key components of the manuscript (see sample abstract 1 and sample abstract 2). Abstracts will be included in the symposium publication. Each abstract should also include the author name(s) and school affiliation(s), as well as the presentation title, keywords, and the doctoral student’s year in the program.

Presentations at the symposium should be limited to about 15 minutes each to allow for 5-10 minutes of discussion.

Faculty advisors should submit a file of their school’s two abstracts together by March 6, 2026 to Daniel Villanova at DVillanova@walton.uark.edu.

Faculty advisors should also submit a file of their school’s student and faculty attendees’ bios and headshots along with the abstracts.
