SMS Doctoral Educator’s Award
The SMS Doctoral Educator’s Award recognizes those individuals who have made significant and sustained contributions to marketing doctoral education during their careers and who are (or have been) affiliated with SMS member institutions. Deserving recipients may be nominated by involved SMS faculty prior to each year’s SMS conference—dates will be announced ahead of time each year by the host university. At least three letters of recommendation, along with the nominee’s vita, should be included in the nomination.
Please note that nominating an individual implies that the school making the nomination is willing to fund a small part of the cost of the upcoming program, generally funding the SMS lunch at which the individual selected will be celebrated.
In the event there are multiple award nominations, the winner will be chosen by a majority vote of the SMS schools (one vote per school, coordinated by the doctoral coordinator of each school). The SMS Doctoral Educator Award winner will be recognized during the upcoming SMS conference.
Please submit SMS Doctoral Educator Award Nominations by March 14, 2024 to Jonathan Hasford.
